The Expo 2025 Osaka Pavilion Association (hereinafter “the Osaka Pavilion”), in operating the Osaka Healthcare Pavilion at Expo 2025 Osaka, Kansai, Japan (hereinafter “the Osaka Kansai Expo”), shall handle the personal information of those who participate in the Reborn Experience and other content provided by the Osaka Pavilion (hereinafter "the Reborn Experience, etc.") (including those who use equipment and systems installed by the Osaka Pavilion for the purpose of using the Osaka Healthcare Pavilion) and those who use the official app and website operated by the Osaka Pavilion (hereinafter collectively referred to as “Visitors”). The Osaka Pavilion shall handle Visitors’ personal information appropriately and in compliance with applicable laws, regulations, guidelines, and this Privacy Policy.

The Osaka Pavilion shall establish and maintain a system for the appropriate protection of personal information, and shall properly instruct and supervise staff and others who handle the personal information of Visitors to ensure its protection.

For customers who do not wish Osaka Pavilion to obtain their personal information but wish to use the Reborn Experience, the following methods are also available as a Reborn Experience that differ from those in which Osaka Pavilion obtains the information described in 1 through 3 above.

The Osaka Pavilion shall use Visitors’ personal information for the following purposes or for other purposes to be notified separately.

- (2)Provision of content, exhibit guidance, signaling and other functions necessary for the experience.

- (4)Response to problems that arise through partaking in the Reborn Experience, etc. and measures to prevent reoccurrence
- (5)Crime and disaster prevention measures and cooperation with related agencies to ensure safe and appropriate participation in the Reborn Experience, etc.

- (1)Smooth provision and operation of the Reborn Experience and related functions in the official app, website, and other online services provided by the Osaka Pavilion (hereinafter “Online Services, etc.”)
- (2)Identity confirmation and management of accounts, etc. at the time of registration for and use of Online Services, etc.
- (3)Consideration, investigation, and responses to inquiries, and responses to requests for informational materials, etc.
- (4)Provision of information and support for Online Services, etc.
- (5)Establishment, maintenance, and operation of Online Services, etc., and actions necessary for the provision of other services, etc.
- (6)Investigation, verification, and response to violations of the Terms of Use, etc., fraud, unauthorized access, and other improper conduct with relation to the Online Services, etc., and other inappropriate conduct with relation to the use of services, etc.

- Exercise of rights by the Osaka Pavilion, responses to legal obligations and requests by the Osaka Pavilion, conducting necessary investigations and handling other compliance and governance matters at the Osaka Pavilion
- Implementation of other actions incidental to achieving the above purposes

The Osaka Pavilion shall not disclose or provide acquired personal information to third parties, except in the following cases.
- (1)When the Visitor’s prior consent has been obtained
- (2)When necessary for the protection of the life, body, or property of an individual, and it is difficult to obtain the Visitor’s consent
- (3)When particularly necessary to improve public health or promote the sound growth of children, and it is difficult to obtain the Visitor’s consent
- (4)When necessary for cooperation with national or local governments in the execution of public affairs, and obtaining the Visitor’s consent is likely to impede the execution of such affairs
- (5)When the third party is an academic research institution, etc. and it is necessary for the third party to handle the personal data for academic research purposes (Including cases where part of the purpose of handling such personal data is for academic research purposes, excluding cases where there is a risk of unjustified infringement on the rights and interests of individuals)
- (6)Other situations when required by law
- If the provisions of the preceding Paragraph (1) are satisfied by agreeing to provide information to the Osaka Pavilion when applying for services provided by Healthcare Systems, the Osaka Pavilion shall provide Healthcare Systems with identifiers to match Visitors’ data with Healthcare Systems’ data from the personal information obtained in “II. Content of Personal Information Obtained by the Osaka Pavilion” above. This allows the Osaka Pavilion to link data received from Healthcare Systems with the personal information of Visitors to provide a more fulfilling Osaka Pavilion experience. For information regarding Healthcare Systems’ handling of personal information, please see the Privacy Policy described in Item 3 (2) below.

If the provisions of the preceding Paragraph (1) are satisfied by the Visitor’s agreement to this Privacy Policy, the Osaka Pavilion shall display and provide their personal information as follows.

Displaying to others who participate in the Reborn Experience
The Osaka Healthcare Pavilion may, with the consent of Visitors, display their avatars and health information on monitors installed within the Reborn Experience, which may result in other people being able to see these displays. Visitors may choose not to have this information displayed on the monitors if they do not want others to see it.

Provision to Osaka Healthcare Pavilion sponsors
Of the personal information obtained in Paragraphs 1 through 4 of “II. Content of Personal Information Obtained by the Osaka Pavilion” above, personal information will be provided to sponsors of the Osaka Healthcare Pavilion after the process such as removing any information that could allow sponsors, on its own, identify individual Visitors, such as nicknames, e-mail addresses, and facial images. Such provision is to be carried out after the conclusion of the Osaka Kansai Expo. The information is to be used by sponsors of the Osaka Healthcare Pavilion for the research, development, etc. of products and services. And it may be used in conjunction with information independently obtained by sponsors through the Reborn Experience and other exhibitions, if the sponsors have such information. Content of Personal Information Obtained by the Osaka Pavilion” above, personal information obtained through sensing services provided by sensing sponsors and Visitors’ attribute information such as gender and age (not including nickname and e-mail address) will be provided after the process such as removing any information that could, on its own, allow sensing sponsors identify individual Visitors to the sensing sponsors of the Osaka Healthcare Pavilion. Provision of such personal information shall be carried out during the period of the Osaka Kansai Expo and used to improve the accuracy of sensing services as well as for the research, development, etc. of products and services. With regard to Item 1 (5) (“Provision to academic research institutions, etc.”) above, the Osaka Pavilion may provide the information described in Item 3 (2) above to public research institutions and educational institutions such as universities selected by the Osaka Pavilion, and said institutions may use it when conducting academic research. Examples of such public research institutions and educational institutions such as universities are as follows.

- (2)The government and independent administrative institutions established by the government with the purpose of conducting research relating to the field of health and medical care and performing medical care.
- (3)Mayors of municipalities within Osaka Prefecture and incorporated administrative agencies established by such municipalities
- (4)An entity that is a member of a university as defined in Article 1 of the School Education Act and falls under any of the following categories.
- Use for research related to the field of health and medical care
- Research that is expected to contribute to the improvement of the quality of healthcare
- A substantial research record in improving the quality of healthcare

Transfer of Personal Information Outside of Japan
The Osaka Pavilion shall take necessary and appropriate measures in accordance with applicable laws and regulations when providing personal information to foreign entities of subcontractors.

Duration of Retention of Personal Information
The Osaka Pavilion will retain the personal information of Visitors only for as long as is necessary to fulfill the purposes for which the information is to be used, to comply with applicable laws, and to respond to requests from Visitors. Following the conclusion of the Osaka Kansai Expo, the Osaka Pavilion shall delete the personal information of the Visitors after taking the measures described in Items 3 and 4 of “V. Provision to Third Parties” and “VI. Transfer of Personal Information Outside of Japan” above.

Use of Cookies, etc.
Cookies are small text files that are downloaded onto the browser of the device (computer, smartphone, etc.) a Visitor uses when accessing a website. The use of cookies makes it possible for the Osaka Pavilion to recognize Visitors’ devices and learn about their usage of the official app operated by the Osaka Pavilion and other information. The Osaka Pavilion uses Google Analytics from Google Inc. Google Analytics collects, records, and analyzes information on usage of the official app by Visitors, and the Osaka Pavilion uses the results thereof to improve its official app.

Responding to Inquiries and Requests for Disclosure, Correction, Suspension of Use, etc.
In the event that a Visitor makes an inquiry regarding the handling of their personal information or a request to exercise the following rights based on the laws, a response shall be made appropriately and promptly after confirming that the inquiry or request has been made by the Visitor themselves.
- (1)Notification of purposes of use or disclosure of personal information
- (2)Correction, addition, and deletion of personal information
- (3)Suspension of use of personal information or its provision to third parties
Visitors may make requests for the correction, addition, and deletion of personal information. The Osaka Pavilion shall respond to such requests to the extent required by law after confirming the content of the request.
Additionally, Osaka Pavilion will, upon request from a customer, delete the customer's personal information in the same manner as a request for disclosure, etc., even before the deletion described in the above "VII. Duration of Retention of Personal Information” above. However, the information obtained by the providers by provision described in item3(2)(3) and 4 in “V. Provision to Third Parties” above, will not be included in the scope of the deletion.

Additionally, the Osaka Pavilion may outsource a portion of its operations and provide personal information to subcontractors to the extent necessary to achieve the purposes of use. In such cases, subcontractors shall be appropriately managed and supervised, including entering into contracts regarding the handling of personal information.
